Hyde Park before urban renewal?

I am writing to ask for help with a short history of Hyde Park, to be published in book form in September 2001. As there is a significant visual component to the work, I am hoping that some readers might be interested in contributing photographs to such a project. Photographs from any period are greatly appreciated, but I am primarily in need of materials from the pre-urban-renewal period. While my publisher is unable to pay for the use of photographs, I would be honored to include the names of participating individuals in the acknowledgments for the work.

This project is a labor of love and one that I began to address a deficit in the current literature on Hyde Park, rather than one motivated by profit. Please contact me or feel free to send me materials (all of which will be returned) at the following address: Max Grinnell, 5636 S. Drexel Ave., Chicago, IL 60637.

Thank you.
