Thirty-year prospective study of 76 children from birth describing five life paths and major influences. We found evidence of those who went against prediction: falling from grace at birth or rising to remarkable health at thirty. We describe the power of traumata, including divorce, upon outcome at thirty and give life histories in each chapter.
