In Their Own Words

Fred Wulczyn, PhD’86

The National Survey of Child and Adolescent Well-Being (NSCAW) is the first nationally representative study of children who have been reported to authorities as suspected victims of abuse or neglect and the public programs that aim to protect them. This is the first book to report the results of NSCAW, interpret the findings, and place them in a broader policy context.

Contributing authors address a range of issues associated with the child protection system, including the types of problems experienced by children and families involved with the system, the range of services and interventions it provides, and an assessment of its programs.

The publisher lists the coeditors as follows: Ron Haskins, Fred Wulczyn, and Mary Bruce Webb.
