In Their Own Words

Sydney Brownstein, PhD’55

The reader is gently led through the major theories of our present world of science with a glimpse of how the ideas have changed, often in a revolutionary manner, over the course of history. There are also some guesses of where further change may be necessary. We start in the realm of atomic physics and proceed via cosmology to details of our world, ourselves, and the thinking which makes us human. Along the way we get information, as necessary, to critically understand the current theories.
