In a study reported in the July 7 New England Journal of Medicine, Chicago
researchers have found that inhaled nitric oxide protects premature
infants at high-risk for brain injury and delayed development:

University physicists have found a way to measure the forces exerted
as granular particles switch from a static to a flowing condition. The
work, reported in the June 23 Nature, may help to explain how glasses
