Scavengers among us

Nine teams of students constructed makeshift dorm rooms on the quads for crucial points in the 16th annual Scavenger Hunt. Among the 325 items on this year's Scav Hunt list were an 8-meter-tall Monster of the Midway, a Big Ten party on the quads, and a Britney Spears impersonator. Participants were also required to send a road trip team to obtain items only available at such far-off places as the Mall of America in Bloomington, MN. The contest ended in a tie on May 14, with Shoreland Hall and Hitchcock-Snell sharing top honors and the $900 prize.--E.C.
