image: Class Notes headlineMorris B. Eson, AM'44, PhD'51, Passover Haggadah for All Generations: A Modern Midrash (Adraba Publishing). Eson offers a modern midrash that illuminates passages in the Haggadah and enhances the feeling of reliving that history.

Lowell K. Handy, AM'80, PhD'87, Entertaining Faith: Reading Short Stories in the Bible (Chalice Press). This introductory survey of eight short stories that appear in the Catholic Bible also includes studies on the theories of their origins, as well as the repeated character types and narrative devices. The volume ends with suggestions for using the stories in modernity and a bibliography of academic studies for the beginning theology student.
