Speaking of named chairs....
Style No. 2, aka the Stylex work chair with a cantilevered base, was named the winner in Regenstein Library’s spring competition to replace 1,983 reader chairs purchased in 1989. Style No. 1 (above) gets tested by fourth-year biology major Leila Vaez-Azizi, one of 2,457 faculty, staffers, and students who voted during the trials. The winning chairs—from a firm owned by former U of C library user John P. Golden, JD’78—arrive this fall.
