Pictures from an Institution
The first issue of the Chicago Alumni Magazine contained only three photographs, yet the publication made clear its goal: “to record the daily life of the University.” And for the past 25 years, readers like you have helped the Magazine achieve that goal—in print and online—through your generous support.
To mark the University of Chicago Magazine’s 100th year, we’ve created a book that covers the campus scene by featuring the work of Magazine contributing editor Dan Dry, who has been photographing the University since its own centennial. Providing a counterpoint to Dry’s images are quotations from past and present members of the University community: musings on theory and practice, questions and answers, work and play, the singular and the collective—and Chicago.
As a thank-you to readers who make a $100 gift ($75 of which is tax-deductible), we are pleased to offer a copy of this special book. Make your gift on-line.
Thank you in advance for your support of the University of Chicago Magazine.
