African-American Studies: Resources in the University of Chicago Library, through June 11. Featuring the library’s printed copy of the Emancipation Proclamation bearing Abraham Lincoln’s signature, this exhibition includes original and modern editions of government documents, periodicals, directories, scrapbooks, manuscripts, and letters. Guarneri String Quartet with pianist Claude Frank, April 30 at 8 p.m. The quartet closes its 35th anniversary celebration with performances of Haydn’s Quartet in G Minor, op. 74, no. 3, Grieg’s Quartet in G Minor, op. 27, and Schumann’s Piano Quintet in E-flat Major, op. 44.
