Irma Frantz Watson, PhB30, celebrated her 90th birthday
on June 29 in Golden, CO, with son Wally and other family members.
A pre-birthday celebration was held in May near Boston with granddaughter
Janet and Janets 1- and 3-year-old daughters. While in Boston,
Watson attended granddaughter Annes graduation from Boston
College. She also spent a week with son Edward in Morristown, NJ.
In April, she attended the annual DAR Congress in Washington, DC,
as an honorary state regent of Mexico. She writes, The secret
of good health is to keep moving!
Harold L. Hitchens, AB35, AM36, PhD59,
who retired from the Air Force as a colonel, served in three wars
and flew as a pilot in 167 combat missions. He then spent almost
12 years on the faculty of the University of Pittsburgh. He is happy
and living in Aurora, IL.
John M. Beal, SB37, MD41, and Mary Phemister
Beal, X39, keep active with their 4-year-old grandson,
Dallas, and in the continuing-education program of Valdosta State
University (GA). Alvin I. Weinstein, AB37, JD39,
will soon celebrate his 60th year practicing law and his 63rd year
in accounting. He runs his Illinois office from Arizona part time.
