Civic-minded
At the reception before the September 14 Civic Dinner welcoming him back to the city, University President Robert J. Zimmer chats with attorney Charles Wolf, JD’75, and his wife Sarah. Held in Navy Pier’s Grand Ballroom, the event drew more than 600 government, business, community, and higher-education leaders. “There were times in the past,” Zimmer said at the dinner, “when the University was not as active a citizen or as engaged a partner for our city, and in particular the South Side of our city, as it might have been. But in recent years the University has firmly committed itself to a new role as partner, a commitment I enthusiastically reaffirm.”
