Wed., Jul. 23, 7:30 p.m.: Chicago premiere of American composer Daron Aric Hagan's opera on the life of Frank Lloyd Wright, Shining Brow. Fri., Jul. 25, 7 p.m.: Chicago theater company Shakespeare's Motley Crew performs The Taming of the Shrew at the Quigley North Seminary, Rush and Pearson Streets. Thurs., Jun. 26 7 p.m.: Book club's monthly meeting at the Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, Fifth Avenue and 56th Street, to discuss Books I & II of Marcel Proust's Guermantes. July and August softball games (with family picnics) in Central Park: Dates TBA, but softball teams are forming now.
